  • Waiting on God? [Top 10 Bible Verses to Help]

Confession time. I am not really good at waiting on God for things in my business. I’m just not. I’m horrible at waiting. How about you? I am not really sure why– maybe because entrepreneurs are go-getters and we want to do everything fast. Maybe I want to be successful, faster. It seems us entrepreneurs are always wanting to go, go, go! Get things done. Go faster. Do more. Get to the finish line already. But when we’re at our most frantic pace ever, God says, “Wait a second. Slow down a little bit.” We hate waiting. We hate going slow. When something is going slow, it is easy to attribute the waiting to laziness or inactivity, or passive-aggressiveness. But did you know that waiting can also mean hoping? We’re waiting with expectations in our businesses. We’re hoping and expecting and waiting to see what God is going to do. While you are waiting for something in your business, here are 10 encouraging Bible verses about patience that will really help you wait on God. Top 10 Verses Hosea 12:6 Therefore, return to your God, observe kindness and justice, and wait for your God continually. Psalms 27:14 Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord. Psalms 37:7 Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who carries out wicked schemes. Psalms 123:2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the Lord our God, Until He is gracious to us. Isaiah 30:18 Therefore the Lord longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him. Jeremiah 14:22 Are there any among the idols of the nations who give rain? Or can the heavens grant showers? Is it not You, O Lord our God? Therefore we hope in You, For You are the one who has done all these things. Psalms 25:5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all day. Psalms 145:15-16 The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food in due time. You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. James 5:7-8 Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains. You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near. Luke 12:35-40 Be dressed in readiness, and keep your lamps lit. Be like men who are waiting for their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that they may immediately open the door to him when he comes and knocks. Blessed are those slaves whom the master will find on the alert when he comes; truly I say to you, that he will gird himself to serve, and have them recline at the table, and will come up and wait on them. • No Money to Launch Your Business Idea? Here’s How to Move Forward Anyway.

A big way the enemy prevents me from moving forward in my calling is this feeling of not having enough money to go into the next phase of where I want to go. It chokes my ideas and stifles my progress. If I’m not careful, I can allow this chokehold to strangle me and my calling, and I choose to put it aside and continue with my current comfortable situation. But I’ve learned a great secret that’s helped me break through the feelings of being broke and be in my calling, even when I don’t know where the money will come from! The best way to generate leads and interest in my company is to offer something for free! Yes, the secret to overcoming the feeling of being broke is to SERVE your target market with your gifts – with your calling! I have my Daily Godpreneur blog, lots of free checklists and resources, and tons of video training on my YouTube… All for FREE! And all of these free resources are what build up the trust for people to buy from me. We all can do free things – serving our target market with free content, free samples, and free experiences – and this open act of service will be the driving force behind your success because it’s been God’s plan all along. Jesus shows us in the Bible the perfect example, When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Very truly, I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. (John 13:12‭-‬17 NIV) When you go from entrepreneurship to GODpreneurship, Jesus changes your purpose from selfishness to selflessness. You should have an eagerness to serve and do good. Essentially, you become confident in your entrepreneurial calling and privilege to serve your clients and industry as Jesus showed how to serve. When you’re feeling broke, and it’s holding you back from moving forward, that’s the point when you need to step boldly into God’s calling for your business knowing that your selfless service to your target market will reveal His goodness and glory. How can we serve freely when the thoughts of lack of money overpower our thinking to the point where we can’t even muster up the strength to serve others? Here are two strategies I use. Always remember to depend on the Holy Spirit to empower you in whatever business God has assigned to you. Whether it’s to run a coffee shop, car wash, design brands, or to do network marketing, do it all by relying on the strength of God to display His greatness. If you are given opportunities to speak for free to groups of people or to put out free content, acknowledge that your products and services are His vessels to articulate words of truth and life from the Holy Spirit into the marketplace. The bible says: Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (Galatians 6:9‭-‬10 NIV) Ultimately, when we serve our target market freely, we have a choice: We can choose to serve in our strength, or we can set aside our self-reliance on money and ask the Holy Spirit for help. When we Godpreneurs rely on Jesus in us, authentic light will shine from our good deeds. Our acts of service will be a stronger reward than the feeling of being broke, and in God’s contrarian nature, the blessings over our business will follow. I pray that God continually transforms your heart and mind to serve and think like Jesus. I pray you to keep your eyes and ears alert to the ways God wants you to serve your sheep and that it all may lead them to see God more. #BusinessBibleStudy #EnhanceFocus The 7 Calling Killers Overcome the Enemy's Plan to Steal, Kill and Destroy the Entrepreneurial Calling Over Your Life. • Struggle Well: How Entrepreneurs Thrive In the Chaos of Christmas

Are you a Christian entrepreneur who wants more than a job, and wants more than a business, but wants to make a difference in this world? You know God has called you to start a business, but you don't know what's missing. You're just like most of the rest of us, then. Jesus knows struggle. He knows all the feelings that we have. Not just because He’s God, but also because life’s circumstances caused Him to go through all life’s troubles that we have as well. Let’s look at the first Christmas to see how struggle played a significant role. According to Jewish culture, Mary and Joseph were engaged (it was almost like a marriage at that point, so more than engaged). They were preparing for marriage already, and God had other plans for them. God was going to bring Himself into the world through Mary. The curse from the Garden of Eden was on the seed of man, so there wasn’t a way for God to come into the world by using Joseph, or else Jesus would have been born into sin. What happens next is amazing. In Biblical times, adultery was forbidden by the law (and even punishable by death). Joseph had the chance to send Mary away, as it appeared that she had been unfaithful to him. While Mary didn’t give birth to Jesus out of wedlock (as in having cheated on Joseph), God used this very out-of-ordinary circumstance to change Jesus’ human past. There would have certainly been rumors spread about his family, leaving the family in a very unusual predicament. This was Jesus’ human past, perhaps having people look down on him and his family. This is what Jesus went through and is, therefore, able to identify with us as humans. But it wasn’t just Jesus who went through this, his entire family, which must have included at least four siblings (since the Bible talks about his brothers and sisters, plural). They all went through the struggle because it was God’s Will. It was predetermined that they would have this struggle, and there was nothing they did that was wrong. More parts of the Christmas story show struggle (though these were more Mary and Joseph’s struggles, not struggles related directly to Jesus). Joseph was responsible for traveling hundreds of miles from Nazareth to Bethlehem with Mary, who was pregnant (Luke 2). There were likely dangers on the way, but even the journey without hazards would have been a hard struggle, as likely Mary would have had to ride on the donkey. Another struggle was finding Mary and Joseph’s place to stay (as there was no room). Mary was about to give birth, and not finding a place to stay would have been very difficult for them. After the Wise Men came, Joseph received word from God in a dream that he had to flee to Egypt. Traveling that distance would have been hard, especially with a newborn child (and, again, likely with a donkey). The next time King Herod killed every baby boy too and under was a huge struggle for Israel. Matthew 2:13-16. This Christmas, remember us that the first Christmas had struggles, just as many of us struggled during this pandemic. For some, the business has slowed down. For others, their businesses had to stop the way it functioned. So, they have had to find other ways to do business or find another business to be involved in. The struggle that Jesus had means that you have an advocate with Jesus, who identifies with everything you’re going through. How often do we, as Christians, try to fix our problems instead of going to the One who can help us? When we face struggles, we have to remember that no struggle is as big as God. Jesus will have the last say in any of your problems. And, if you see anyone struggling this year, be sure to share with them this good news, that they can access the Creator, who also went through struggles and can identify with their struggles as well.
