  • See Your Blog Posts as a Record of Your Improvement

When I started writing to Christian entrepreneurs, I quickly understood two major things were happening. First, I was recording my business history for eternity. This means my children and their children would always be able to know what I went through. Second, by writing and using God’s word, I was showing everyone that I didn’t make it on my own, but that God did the work. As Christian bloggers called to speak into the lives of Godpreneurs (Christian entrepreneurs), our calling is to be faithful with the gift of teaching and discernment that God has given us. We can accomplish this by recording our business teachings electronically on the web for the world to see… FOR ETERNITY! We get to report on our faith, our lives, and of our gifts and talents so that generations will be impacted forever. The bible says: Let this be recorded for future generations, so that a people not yet born will praise the Lord. (Psalms 102:18 NLT) Someone wrote the Psalms above thousands of years ago. We’re still being influenced by it today. What you’re writing will impact lives. Maybe not at the beginning since nobody starts with thousands of active readers. But over time, your writings will be read. We need always to remember that we’re recording the promises of God as weblog to Christian entrepreneurs. God sees it all, and we will never know the real impact our writing will have in this generation or the next. We need to record our journey with God. He will bring that teaching to the right person to demonstrate His faithfulness to you. • Getting Over What’s Blocking Your Writing

I thank God for the problems in my business. Why? The problems draw me closer to Him because I get to write about them and use the writing to overcome the problem. It’s quite a convenient relationship Sometimes it’s a problem of a client or business friend that I’m trying to solve. I had an entrepreneur friend going through marriage problems, so I decided I was going to write a series of blogs for married entrepreneurs finally. Occasionally, though, I find myself having a “creative block” when I can’t think of the way to help myself or the person through the problem. It’s frustrating because I set aside the time to write, I’m reading the Bible, I’m trying to get my mindset in the right place, but the solution isn’t coming together in a way that I know will impact the reader. I sometimes have to close my Bible, put down my phone (I blog from my phone), and just come back to it the next day. We Christian business bloggers at one point or another will face writers’ block – the condition of being unable to think of what to write or how to proceed with writing. We face this because of either, God wants us to do some more investigating and isn’t revealing the solution, or We forgot that God is the source of the solution and we’re not coming to Him authentically (we’re trying to solve it from your head instead of the spirit leading) This blockage of creative solutions could last a day or two, a week, or in some severe cases, months. The only way we Christian business bloggers can overcome this roadblock is by remembering that God has limitless creativity and has given us the holy spirit to inspire us, renew us, and raise us out of the darkness and into the light. The bible says: My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the king; my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer. (Psalms 45:1 NIV) You don’t need to fear because the love and creativity of God want to flow through you. First, God’s love wants to use you to help others. Second, you were created in His image; therefore, you too have infinite creativity, and He wants to use you to express it. If you’re struggling to find something to write about, think about recent problems people came to you with or a problem you had. If you’re still drawing a blank, call a few friends and ask them what their biggest struggles are in business. They will give you hot topics. If you’re struggling to find a solution to a problem to write about, take a break to pray and ask God to reveal the solution. You might need to take a day or two off to remove your mind from it and come back fresh and renewed. God called us to bring solutions to Christians worldwide struggling in business. He will not leave us to do this alone. He empowered us with the holy spirit so we could write for Him. Let’s choose to believe that the holy spirit is the one that will write, and start writing and let it flow knowing there’s life in the obedience of just having faith. Let me pray for your creativity: Father, thank you that you’ve given us the gift of blogging. In Jesus name, I declare creativity and renewal into the person reading this prayer. I pray the holy spirit take over their creative thoughts and that you’ll flow freely again to continue to bring Bible-based solutions to business problems worldwide. Amen. #ChristianBloggers #GodpreneurAcademy #BusinessBibleStudy Keys to Successful Christian Blogging In this course, I'll give you some keys God taught me about how to write a successful Christian blog. • How Not to Give Up on Your Writing

I remember those early days of starting my blog. It was exciting. I wasn’t that knowledgeable, but I had a dream, and it was fun! I didn’t have a lot of readers, but regardless of a number of likes, shares, or comments, nothing bothered me, nothing set me back. But that excitement turned to frustration when, after dozens of posts, I still wasn’t seeing any traction. Even my Christian business friends weren’t reading my blogs. Heck, they were the ones that encouraged me to start it, and THEY weren’t even reading them! To make things worst, my regular business (my branding agency) was experiencing some headaches of its own that required my time, so I found myself wanting to give up writing because the time spent on the blog could be spent helping my revenue-producing business grow. I was almost about to quit. We Christian bloggers all start with excitement. But what happens when the going gets tough for TOO LONG? Now, it’s not so fun to be in that situation. Bills pile up, nobody’s reading, technology isn’t being nice to us, social media interaction is weak, things aren’t perfect, people start to unfollowing us…the list goes on! But God’s not done. It’s not over. He’s asking us Godpreneurs to PERSEVERE! The bible says: So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. (Hebrews 10:35‭-‬36 NIV) You can’t throw it all away now. You were sure of yourselves when you started writing your blog. It’s still a sure thing! But you need to stick it out, staying with God’s plan so you’ll be there for the promised completion. Christian blogging is a journey towards God. It’s a Pilgrimage we’re on. We do it for God and ourselves – the same. We don’t do this for the number of readers; we do it to impact ONE…. for THE ONE! At times it’s going to seem mundane, monotonous, repetitive, and unexciting. At other times it’s going to be frustrating, draining, and exhausting. But we can’t give up and throw it all away. We need to PERSEVERE. God promises a rich reward, and your reward is on the way. If the results you have been hoping for from your blog don’t seem like they’re happening anytime soon, remember that you need to persevere so that when your blog has done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised. Fast forward a few years in my own experience with Daily Godpreneur and you can see I’ve built up a great following, written several books based off my blog posts, and my blog is featured as Top 3 Christian Business Blogs worldwide. Guys, it won’t be long now, God’s on the way; He’ll show up most any minute and reward our perseverance! We Godpreneurs are not quitters who lose out. Oh, no! We’ll stay with it and survive, trusting all the way. God is your biggest fan, your most avid reader. He wants you to receive the prize. So don’t give up. #ChristianBloggers #GodpreneurAcademy #BusinessBibleStudy Keys to Successful Christian Blogging In this course, I'll give you some keys God taught me about how to write a successful Christian blog. • Finding Out Your Blogging Style

Bloggers that I coach are dying to know what my secret is to writing that keep Christian business owners coming back for more. The truth is, God made us all uniquely and this means the style you write in is unique to you, and the way your reader learns is unique to them. But one thing is true: Christian entrepreneurs want material that is relatable and interesting, that tells a great story, or teaches them something valuable from the Bible. Here are 10 different writing styles for blog posts that will engage your Christian entrepreneur readers. Personal Narrative A personal narrative style essay is a written account of a true story of something that happened to you. This is usually how I write at Daily Godpreneur. Some bloggers (and maybe your pastor too) use a strategy called creative nonfiction in which the writing infuses elements of drama or humor to punch up the story without destroying the true and accurate account of events. Confessional I’ve seen a lot of mommy blog use the confessional style of writing. It generally tells a highly salacious or dramatic story in a confession style tone that is intended to irritate or shock. This style doesn’t always portray the exact truth in the name of highlighting shock value, which makes it different from personal narrative. Investigative Investigative Christian business bloggers seek to answer questions, mysteries, and business problems that are of great interest to readers. Writers use this style of blogging to unravel stories happening in industries and marketplaces. This typically uses a formula of writing that has the reader following clues and facts toward the resolution at the end of the post. Listicle A listicle – or list style post – is a simple bulleted blog post that gives a list of reasons, ideas, products, statements, or really anything that is neatly tied together under the theme of the headline. This is great for teaching and guiding readers that want quick lists. An example would be a post called “10 Great Christian Business Bloggers to Follow”. Rebuttal The bible is full of letters of rebuttal. John was great at this. He took issue with another teaching and responded to it in a public way. You can use this style to debate in which you avoid personal insults and focus on the way you feel is right. Open Letter An open letter is when a blogger posts a letter intended for one person but made available to the public. We see this in the letters John wrote to the apostoles. The true intended audience is the general public and therefor gives this particular style of writing a sense of either shaming or congratulating, but either way, calls out an individual or group to highlight something they may have said or done in a public way. Unlike the rebuttal post, the open letter often incorporates personal insults. Pictorial (Tutorial) A pictorial or tutorial blog post is a simple post with a series of pictures. You see these when you’re looking up how to change something on your website and the author screenshots the step-by-step instructions. It could be treated like a photo album of a recent trip, too. Possibilities are endless. Round-Up A round-up style post is generally used to describe a series of products, places, or events. For example, when I would go the the Nightclub and Bar Convention in Las Vegas (before Christ), I would interview all the relevant tradeshow booth owners and report back to my readers on the cool trends and what they missed out on. Instructional An instructional post tells the reader how to do something through a series of steps. This is your chance to teach practical things like “How to Start a Christian Business Blog”. Interview Some of the most fascinating blog posts are when you can interview a Christian business owner in order to share a specific story or expertise. Try changing up your writing style sometimes, it can help you through a period of writers block. It can also re-engage your readers and get them excited with new, fresh material. What kinds of blogging style(s) do you favor? Try writing your next post in a different style and see what happens! #BusinessBibleStudy #ChristianBloggers #GodpreneurAcademy Keys to Successful Christian Blogging In this course, I'll give you some keys God taught me about how to write a successful Christian blog. • Blogging While Keeping the Appropriate Posture

When I think of posture, I think about the way I’m standing. I know that if I want to perform at my best in a sport, or if I want to make sure my back is healthy, keeping proper posture is important. Posture also has another important definition. As a noun, it means a particular way of dealing with or considering something; it’s an approach or attitude. As a verb, it means to place (someone) in a particular attitude or pose. When I approach my writing, the way I “posture” myself and God is important, especially because one word from my writing can be the difference between success and failure for an entrepreneur. We Christian business bloggers need to make sure we are writing very carefully. God is entrusting us with His thoughts, and as beautiful of a thing it is, it carries a responsibility to treat it with the utmost respect. So what is the proper posture God wants us to have? This posture of writing is for us to make sure our words are communicating God’s will always. The bible says: My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the king; my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer. (Psalms 45:1 NIV) Throughout the Psalms, you will notice that the psalmist never wrote carelessly. His poems were his works, things he made – like a carpenter that makes a fine and useful piece of furniture. Your blogging is supposed to cost you something. Your writing is good material, therefore requires good workmanship. This means that before writing, you have to prepare your heart and mind. You have to digest what you want to say because it’s about to represent God! Your writing is your own, what you’ve personally been through with God. Your posture should be that of a ready writer, not just to pump out another post out of obligation or speed, but for exactness, elaboration, deliberation, and skilfulness expression. The holy spirit should fill us with enthusiasm, and therefore, our writing will be as perfect as the most skilled writers. We get to sit down calmly and write for the King of kings! This is posture. Not everyone was blessed with the skill of blogging for God. We shouldn’t restrain from the river flowing through us. Our hearts were gifted to glorify God through our writing. Like the Psalmist, our writing is poetry to the King’s ears, to enrich the service of Godpreneurs doing business God’s way. • Having Realistic Expectations for Success

In 2018, my blog Daily Godpreneur was listed in the Top 30 Christian Business Blogs. I was 2nd on the list. I also placed 2nd in 2019. But it wasn’t always like this. When I started in 2014, I had ZERO readers. It surprised me that not even my mother could read and relate to my blog. It frustrated me that not even my close Christian friends that owned businesses would read my posts. It wasn’t until I started sharing my blogs on Facebook that I began seeing readers trickle in and sign up for my email list. This was in my 2nd year of blogging. I blogged to myself for an entire year! We bloggers can sometimes expect that when we start our journey, people will begin to flood in to read. Ok, maybe not immediately, but we at least expect to have traction within one year, right? This expectation can leave us frustrated, hurt, dejected, and wondering if blogging is even worth it. We seek to be understood, and we thirst for people to read, we yearn for people to share our posts, and pursue people to comment and interact because we believe that these things are the prize. We all want to be on the list of top Christian Business bloggers; however that’s not what God wants for us out of our writing experience. The bible says: For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. (Romans 8:24‭-‬25 NIV) A Christian business blogger’s faith is about expectation: the expectation of the fulfillment of God’s promises to you when you began writing. God promised you something. You felt something from the spirit move you to begin this journey. God’s given you a vision. And now, your Christian walk is taken to the next level when you realize that this is all a lesson in balancing the yearning of your blog’s success with the joy of the big moment when you feel people are listening and your thoughts are impacting others. We need to keep hope alive. We have to feed off of the hope in fulfilling God’s vision for our blogs, not the hope that a certain number of people will read, share, like, comment, and join our mailing list. When we keep hope alive, it keeps our expectations in check, not letting the enemy steal one bit of our joy so that our writing is kept pure and in total devotion to God and His call for us. #ChristianBloggers #BusinessBibleStudy #GodpreneurAcademy Keys to Successful Christian Blogging In this course, I'll give you some keys God taught me about how to write a successful Christian blog. • Being Confident When Writing

My Daily Godpreneur emails go out daily to thousands of readers. I know this because I see the reports, but if it weren’t for the report, I wouldn’t believe it. Why? Because I don’t get thousands of replies, comments, and likes. Instead, I get an email reply here and there. I don’t write for the praises of others; however, it is nice to get an email reply once in a while to give me the confidence that at least one person is reading and being impacted by it. We bloggers can sometimes lose confidence when we don’t see interaction or engagement. This starts to make us think that nobody is listening. When we don’t feel heard and understood, our mind plays tricks, and we begin to think that we’re doing something wrong. But we Christian Business bloggers that are called to this ministry have the gift of prophecy. We can speak into an entrepreneur’s life in a way that can change their entire future. We don’t know who is up at 2 am reading our blog and having a moment of revelation that can change their entire trajectory. The bible says (1) Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy. (3) But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort. (1 Corinthians 14:1‭, ‬3 NIV) You have 66 books in the Bible, and each one is written for you. The writer didn’t know at the time that you would be reading it, and your life would change 2000 years later. Same with your Christian business blog; no matter how much content is out on the internet, your topic matters, and it will impact someone and some time. You may think your blog is too small, you don’t have enough readers, but for the one person that reads it at the right time, you’ve done your job, and God’s using your blog to change lives. Because we bloggers desire and have the gift of prophecy, we need to be bold with our writing and the expectation that someone is going to be changed by it. Since we believe that we were called to blog, then we need to act like professional bloggers. This confidence helps us turn our business experiences into prophecies in our writing for other Christian entrepreneurs. With our new confidence, let’s be bold to launch our new blog, create ebooks, sell courses, and believe that God wants to use us in a might way! Whatever we do, let’s do it in confidence that God gave us the vision to impact others through our blogging. Let’s hold on to this promise and declare that God’s word pouring through your writing never fails and will get to the right person at the right time. #ChristianBloggers #BusinessBibleStudy #GodpreneurAcademy Keys to Successful Christian Blogging In this course, I'll give you some keys God taught me about how to write a successful Christian blog. • Conquering Writer’s Block

There are times in my writing where I feel lost, unable to come up with creative ideas, and not sure about the next steps for my blog. It feels like I’m walking in the wilderness with no clue about where to go or how I’m going to get out. These moments of confusion and ‘going blank’ happens often. At first, I thought I was a failure, I did something wrong, and I needed to fix something on the blog. I would react by looking at every single aspect of my process and sometimes make drastic changes. We Christian business bloggers will experience this “wilderness” many times on this journey of business ownership. It happens when we run out of topics or are overloaded with topics and can’t figure out the next thing to write about. We can stare at our phones, journals, or computer screens, and it’s like our creativity went blank. What if instead of beating ourselves up about this blockage, believing that it’s something we need to fight, we see this ‘wilderness season’ as a time God wants to take us on a journey alongside Himself to help us course-correct, adjust, and come back stronger? God will use whatever He can to get our attention. He needs a way to shut our minds down enough so we can see all of Him. What if writer’s block was God wanting to talk to us more intimately? The bible says: Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, (Luke 4:1 NIV) Jesus, even full of the holy spirit, was led into the wilderness for 40 days. During that time, he was alone, the enemy tempted him, but he didn’t seem afraid or fearful. Instead, it looks like he embraced the experience and, as we know, he does come out stronger, emboldened, and prepared for the ministry he was about to lead. As you go along your Christian business blogging journey, you can fight the moments of writer’s block, or you can embrace it as a time that God wants to spend with you in the wilderness. When you go into the wilderness with God, there’s usually something He’s looking to change about your character. These are moments of sanctification and consecration – God purifying our hearts and setting us apart for a great purpose coming up! The Holy Spirit sustained Jesus during his 40 days, and the same spirit that was in him is in you today too! The Holy Spirit will guide you, hold you, and reveal to you the new way. The wilderness season is hard for all of us Christians. Either God is going to do a work in us, or we’re going to allow the enemy to win this battle. The good news is that we’re not alone, and now that we know the truth, we can face our next writer’s block with finesse and gracefully ride it out. Imagine if we all saw writer’s block ad fortification and strengthening for the next season of our blogging? Let’s embrace our wilderness season as a time of drawing closer to God, initiated by Him, by design, to refine an area of ourselves that needed attention, to prepare us for the MORE He has in store for our blog! #ChristianBloggers #BusinessBibleStudy #GodpreneurAcademy Keys to Successful Christian Blogging In this course, I'll give you some keys God taught me about how to write a successful Christian blog. • Understanding That Your Blog is a Work in Constant Progress

I’ve had moments where I ask myself if blogging is worth it. I don’t know about you, but I could be spending this time making sales calls and growing my agency business. Sometimes, self-doubt creeps in, and I wonder if I’m wasting my time blogging if I should continue, was I wrong, was this all a fantasy to be some global influencer? We Christian business bloggers will all run into self-doubt at some point. It’s part of our Godprenurual partnership with God. Doubt is where we develop our faith walk. But what happens when our doubt is so overwhelming that it cripples us to the point where we don’t want to launch our new series, write the next post, or continue on this journey at all. This kind of thinking isn’t normal; however, thank God we have the Holy Spirit to call us back to the place of faith, hope, and purpose! The bible says: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. (Romans 8:28‭-‬30 NIV) God always wants to guide you to the truth of your purpose and calling. Isn’t it amazing that God predestined you to be a Christian blogger and an influencer among Godpreneurs!? God knew you would have self-doubt, and that’s why you have the Holy Spirit to call on and inspire you to keep on blogging towards the truth. When the moments of doubt and uncertainty as to why things are happening to you, God wants you to know you’re not alone and He’s there to show you the next step and not just a little vision – the whole vision! When in doubt, we Christian business bloggers can ask the Holy Spirit to unblock our creative flow and free us to serve our marketplaces again. We didn’t choose God; God chose us. He called us for his great purpose. He wants to continue to justify and glorify us. Imagine if we all relaxed and let God control our writing. #BusinessBibleStudy #ChristianBloggers #GodpreneurAcademy Keys to Successful Christian Blogging In this course, I'll give you some keys God taught me about how to write a successful Christian blog. • Understanding God’s Timing

I used to think I was letting my readers down if I didn’t put out a great series every month. I’d feel like I was losing my edge. When we Christian business bloggers get in a funk, or our routine gets messed up, it can make us lose our confidence which then has us question this whole writing thing moving forward. But we need to take it easy and remember that God’s in control of every hour, day, week, month, and year. Every season, God’s in control. The bible says: There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: He has made everything beautiful in its time. …. (continued) He has also set eternity in the human heart, yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God. I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him. (Ecclesiastes 3:1‭, ‬11‭-‬14 NIV) God doesn’t just leave you. He wants to reassure you through every moment and every season of your blogging journey. God ordained a time and a season for everything that’s going to happen in your business, and nobody can mess with that plan. You should feel comforted by this. Has someone not getting back to you about a podcast opportunity? Did you lose a big blog post you spent hours writing? Remember: There’s a “time to weep and a time to laugh” and a “time to mourn and a time to dance.” Remember, it’s only for a while — a season. We shouldn’t be hard on ourselves for mistakes, setbacks, or lost opportunities. We need to learn the lesson, smile, laugh, and know that God ordains it all. We are not just a blogger; we are being used by God to send a message to the world. Whatever we’re going through, give it to God. Whatever the season of our business, God’s the one with the Master Plan. #ChristianBloggers #BusinessBibleStudy #GodpreneurAcademy Keys to Successful Christian Blogging In this course, I'll give you some keys God taught me about how to write a successful Christian blog. • Not Feeling the Calling of Entrepreneurship? Here’s Why.

I feel I was born to own an agency. I love the process of helping people start and grow their businesses. I have this desire, or this supernatural calling, to come alongside entrepreneurs to uncover and bring to life the business God created them to start.  I want to help them tell the whole world about it. But I didn’t always feel this way. When I first started my agency, I had no idea of what the concept of “calling” was. I didn’t know I had a calling and I certainly didn’t know I was supposed to help my clients bring their calling to life. See, when I started my agency in 2005, I was deep into the nightlife world in Miami. I locked in all the major clubs on South Beach as clients. We did their websites, logos, flyer designs, and social media marketing. And business was GOOD! Then in 2008, a friend invited me to church. I started attending regularly. That’s when I felt the nudge to leave the nightlife niche. It felt wrong to help nightclubs grow their business (attract more people to them) while I thought that God wanted me out of all the alcohol, drugs, and women that came with it. Mostly, I was being called (and rescued) from “nightlife darkness” and invited to join “God’s light.” And I knew that if I was going to follow Christ, I needed to run a business worthy of this holy invitation. All of us Godpreneurs have the same invitation to be God’s light in our industry. A calling from God to help people with our products and services isn’t just for some of us; it’s for all of us business owners who believe. Every Christian business owner has God’s calling on their life. The Greek define “calling” as a divine invitation. We have the opportunity to make God our new CEO and show us an entirely new way of owning and running a business. So what if we haven’t felt this calling yet? What if we can’t see a way to be a light in our industry? How can we get to a place where we feel worthy of being called to the high responsibility of running a brand that reflects God’s light in our industries? Jesus says: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing. (John 15:5 NIV) It’s God’s nature to want to be in a healthy relationship with us. By design, He sent us Jesus so that we would have a guide to show us how to run our businesses and service our clients. If you want to feel the calling to Godpreneurual business life, if you wish for God to reveal the specific niche clientele you’re supposed to shepherd, and if you want to feel worthy and purposeful in the products and services your business produces, you need to ask yourself how you can become more like Christ. You have to remember that on your own, you can’t become like Christ. On your own, you’ll be missing out on what the Holy Spirit wants to inspire you to say and do in your business. We entrepreneurs have to choose to follow Him actively. It helps us feel the joy and peace we need to create products and services that will change the world. When we can abide with Christ and strengthen our relationship with God, the companies we launch can have even more fruitful results! It’s the divine connection to God that changes what we do. This change in mindset is what will help us feel worthy of the calling of owning a business. I pray you draw nearer to God so you can become the business owner God created you to be. #FindMyCalling #BusinessBibleStudy #AgencyOwners The 7 Calling Killers Overcome the Enemy's Plan to Steal, Kill, and Destroy the Entrepreneurial Calling Over Your Life. • A Major Reason You’re Not Launching That Next Big Idea

I love a good business partnership. When I can partner with someone really good in an area I’m weak at, amazing things happen. Each of us stays in our zone of genius, complementing each other so we can move the business forward. There have been some businesses that I refuse to go into without first securing a business partner. Strategically, I know I could move an idea along better if I had someone to joint venture with because they have a strategic advantage in an area I may not. This is also how I feel about my partnership with God on my entrepreneurial journey. Knowing what I know today about God’s power in every area of my business, there’s no way I would ever start a business without partnering with God. The biggest reason I partner with God is that I have so many areas of weaknesses, both personally and professionally, that having a relationship with God helps me to balance it out. Without God as my partner; I probably would have quit entrepreneurship a long time ago. We all have shortcomings in our personal and business lives. Our weakness can show up in the area of finance, sales, relationships etc. We’re not 100% perfect in every area. The danger that happens is that if we focus on our shortcomings, we can convince ourselves not to launch a certain venture or campaign simply because we don’t feel qualified to do it. Our shortcomings can kill our calling. However, God wants to partner with us and has called each of us and set us apart to bring something to life. The fact that we have shortcomings is ON PURPOSE! Why? By design, God set it up so that we rely on Him for the areas in business we are weak in. What defects, deficiencies, or drawbacks are preventing you from moving forward in your calling? God doesn’t call the qualified; he qualifies the called. Most of us are familiar with the famous Bible verse “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5) But it’s what Jeremiah responds to God that is often forgotten. Jeremiah says, “Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” (1:6) What we see here is Jeremiah receiving the calling from God, yet focusing on his shortcomings and giving excuses and convincing himself that he’s not qualified. However, the verse continues. “But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord . (Jeremiah 1:7-8 NIV) Jeremiah was called and set apart by God, but He didn’t intend to leave Jeremiah there. No. God needed Jeremiah to be His physical representation on earth, while God would continue to do the heavy lifting from above. Your calling from God means He’s inviting you to co-labor with Him in the business He designed you correctly to start. Notice that He’s called us to PARTNERSHIP with Him, not for you to do it alone. Imperfect as you are, you are designed to do God’s will in your marketplace. You’re invited to partner with God to bring products and services He needs in our industries. Imagine that you were born with an instruction manual that said: “I created this entrepreneur of mine to (fill in the blank).” You were appointed. You were assigned. And you are being backed-up by the world’s greatest investor and the top business mentor with all the resources in the world. That being said, God knows your shortcomings and has already brought about the people and resources to make up for it. So what’s on your list of excuses for not pursuing your calling? The business God created us to start isn’t about our abilities as entrepreneurs, but God’s ability. When God appoints us to start a certain business or to launch a specific marketing campaign, He also empowers us to run it all. God is faithful and will provide us Godpreneurs all that we need. He will work through us—weaknesses and all. It’s our weaknesses in business that help us to see God working in our businesses. Imagine if we all took a new view of our failings, faults, and flaws in business, knowing that the power of Christ is all we need for the Godpreneurial journey. His power will empower us to be in our calling. Choose to embrace in the fact that Christ in you is more than enough to thrive in your calling…the dream that He put in your heart. Embrace your weaknesses in the business. Surrender your shortages; they can’t hold the calling God has on you and your business life. God has made you able; he has set you apart for His glory. No more excuses. You have all you need to do everything God has called you to do in business. #BusinessBibleStudy #FindMyCalling The 7 Calling Killers Overcome the Enemy's Plan to Steal, Kill and Destroy the Entrepreneurial Calling Over Your Life. • If You’re Stuck in the 9-5 Rat Race, Here’s God’s Way of Breaking Free into Entrepreneurship

I have to be honest – I like it when my business is coasting, there’s a good flow of clients, and I’m NOT launching a new campaign or doing some big change in my company. I like the comfortable times. Sometimes I think, “Why can’t my business always stay in this same place? No changes, no employees leaving, no product or service changes – just let the good times roll with no interruptions.” The only problem with my thought is that I also have the burning desire inside of me to do more and be more. I know God’s called me to new levels. I’ve seen the vision. I’ve felt the calling. But this pursuit would mean change…lots of uncomfortable change. As humans, we seek safety and comfort. We don’t want what we want. We want what we’ve known. Unless we’ve known or experienced something already in our business, we can’t predict the outcome. So rather than trying something “better,” we operate in “the best of what we’ve known.” This is why comfort is a calling killer. So many Christian entrepreneurs are stuck in “ruts,” or do not want to change even though they know it’s what would be best for them. God doesn’t operate in the familiar comfort; He’s in the business of faithful discomfort. The bible says, I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20 NIV) The enemy wants us to seek comfort, believing that it makes us safe, but we live in a world where God’s shown us that there is no such thing as real security, unless it’s under the security of our faith. God designed us to evolve into a new way of thinking where our physical items are temporary and can be lost and broken, but our calling from God is forever. Are you seeking comfort, rather than accepting the transitory nature of the Christian way of running a business? The only way you and your business grow is by stepping into the unknown. God wants to lead you to better possibilities than you ever thought possible. The UN-comfortable-ness that you feel is good because it’s the Holy Spirit speaking to you. God wants to use your “breaking-down” feeling to produce a BREAKTHROUGH! You’ve probably gone through a long time of increasing discomfort, and now “not changing” is not an option. It’s time to PRESS PLAY on the calling you’ve known all along. God is whispering, or He’s already started screaming because you’ve gone too long! The best Godpreneurs listen even while the call is still quiet. God designed the business world to evolve, grow, expand, and change. People that stay in their comfort zone are going AGAINST God’s design. It’s no wonder things aren’t working out in their lives. Successful Godpreneurs, on the other hand, enjoy what they have, and experience it fully, because they are inherently unattached from comfort. Remember, the enemy doesn’t want you to do what God created you to do. He uses “comfort” to kill our calling. But God, through faith, is trying to show us there’s no such thing as “comfort,” which is why comfortable things don’t last, and why the faithful Godpreneurs are most “comfortable” in “discomfort.” Comfortable is just a tool the enemy uses. God is hoping we will choose discomfort. The Godpreneurial life isn’t about being “certain,” it’s about trying anyway. Comfort in business is, essentially, certainty. We can either choose to be certain about what you’ve known or certain that we’ll make the best of whatever happens because we are certain that God has our back when we’re pursuing the very thing He created us to accomplish. Christian entrepreneurs who run businesses they love live out of faith (uncomfortable), not by sight (comfort). We will always have everything we need in our businesses to do everything He calls us to do in the marketplace. It won’t be easy and comfortable, but it will be with our God who provides. Let us be faithful Godpreneurs. We are called to be faithful no matter what—even if we don’t feel like it at the moment. When you are compelled to launch a certain marketing campaign or rebrand to a new thing, move in faith. God will supply all your needs. Remember: Easy won’t transform your business, and comfort won’t challenge the status quo and bring to life what God wants to do in you and through you and your business. It’s time for you to step into the uncomfortable. I pray your business life always reflects the faithfulness of Christ Jesus, our savior. #BusinessBibleStudy #SharpenLeadership #FindMyCalling The 7 Calling Killers Overcome the Enemy's Plan to Steal, Kill, and Destroy the Entrepreneurial Calling Over Your Life. • No Money to Launch Your Business Idea? Here’s How to Move Forward Anyway.

A big way the enemy prevents me from moving forward in my calling is this feeling of not having enough money to go into the next phase of where I want to go. It chokes my ideas and stifles my progress. If I’m not careful, I can allow this chokehold to strangle me and my calling, and I choose to put it aside and continue with my current comfortable situation. But I’ve learned a great secret that’s helped me break through the feelings of being broke and be in my calling, even when I don’t know where the money will come from! The best way to generate leads and interest in my company is to offer something for free! Yes, the secret to overcoming the feeling of being broke is to SERVE your target market with your gifts – with your calling! I have my Daily Godpreneur blog, lots of free checklists and resources, and tons of video training on my YouTube… All for FREE! And all of these free resources are what build up the trust for people to buy from me. We all can do free things – serving our target market with free content, free samples, and free experiences – and this open act of service will be the driving force behind your success because it’s been God’s plan all along. Jesus shows us in the Bible the perfect example, When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Very truly, I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. (John 13:12‭-‬17 NIV) When you go from entrepreneurship to GODpreneurship, Jesus changes your purpose from selfishness to selflessness. You should have an eagerness to serve and do good. Essentially, you become confident in your entrepreneurial calling and privilege to serve your clients and industry as Jesus showed how to serve. When you’re feeling broke, and it’s holding you back from moving forward, that’s the point when you need to step boldly into God’s calling for your business knowing that your selfless service to your target market will reveal His goodness and glory. How can we serve freely when the thoughts of lack of money overpower our thinking to the point where we can’t even muster up the strength to serve others? Here are two strategies I use. Always remember to depend on the Holy Spirit to empower you in whatever business God has assigned to you. Whether it’s to run a coffee shop, car wash, design brands, or to do network marketing, do it all by relying on the strength of God to display His greatness. If you are given opportunities to speak for free to groups of people or to put out free content, acknowledge that your products and services are His vessels to articulate words of truth and life from the Holy Spirit into the marketplace. The bible says: Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (Galatians 6:9‭-‬10 NIV) Ultimately, when we serve our target market freely, we have a choice: We can choose to serve in our strength, or we can set aside our self-reliance on money and ask the Holy Spirit for help. When we Godpreneurs rely on Jesus in us, authentic light will shine from our good deeds. Our acts of service will be a stronger reward than the feeling of being broke, and in God’s contrarian nature, the blessings over our business will follow. I pray that God continually transforms your heart and mind to serve and think like Jesus. I pray you to keep your eyes and ears alert to the ways God wants you to serve your sheep and that it all may lead them to see God more. #BusinessBibleStudy #EnhanceFocus The 7 Calling Killers Overcome the Enemy's Plan to Steal, Kill and Destroy the Entrepreneurial Calling Over Your Life. • How Do We Keep Going When Nobody is Buying?

I have this crazy desire for entrepreneurs to find their calling. I’ve written a book, held live events, done private coaching, come up with personality tests, and studied and researched countless hours to gain more knowledge and skills in the area of calling. Not everything for me has been an instant hit or success. I’ve had to adjust, change, cancel, add, and keep on trying. I could have quit many times. I’ve been at the end of my last dollar after investing it all to further my calling. Feeling DEFEATED is probably the biggest of all calling killers we entrepreneurs can go through. We start with so much enthusiasm in our business, then somewhere down the line, it’s like someone popped the balloon, and we’re no longer able to keep going. When we feel called from God to do something, and after doing it for a long time with nobody responding or there’s very little progress, it discourage us, and we want to rest. How do we keep going when it seems like nobody is listening and responding to our message? The bible says: But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 NIV) The reason you’ll feel defeated when you’re in or close to your calling is that your calling from God in business is your version of missionary evangelism. The same way someone on a mission to Guatemala was called to go from village to village spreading the gospel, God has chosen you to go out and preach your message of how your products and services are a solution to a problem. But this is exhausting work and full of much defeat and disappointment. You are feeling DEFEATED because through your business, and the relationship customers will have with you, people will know Christ – and the enemy wants none of this to happen! The only solution to feeling defeated is to keep on going. Why? Because people are impacted when someone has such a deep conviction for their products and services that they keep ongoing. People might not respond to the first ten attempts, but on 11, they reward you for your tenacity and persistence. Sharing our calling in business while sharing the Gospel with clients, vendors, and employees and will cause us to endure some suffering. It will tempt us to give up and stop moving forward. But the Holy Spirit is in all of us Godpreneurs searching for and living in our calling from God. This power within us should motivate us forward in boldness by imagining what is possible when we share the message of Christ through our business relationships and via our products and services. Every conversation we have, regardless of the outcome, could have an impact beyond what we can see. They may not do business with us, but our passion and zeal carry over into the lives of those around our business, which then will affect those around them, and so on. Where would we be today if Jesus’s disciples would have quit in their calling to spread the gospel? Because 12 guys were faithful to their calling, we are Christians today. The same can be true for us, Godpreneurs. What if sharing your calling today, regardless of the immediate outcome, changed someone’s life years from now? We are called. We are chosen. We are empowered to go out day by day to keep spreading the message. So forget about feeling DEFEATED. If God is calling us to be a light in our marketplaces, then we never know what will occur from our obedience. Our calling in Christ is entrepreneurship. We are called to solve problems, serve our clients, break bread with employees, and go out and fish for more clients.
