  • Spiritual Disconnection Can Kill your Business – Here’s How

I can’t express how much I depend on my morning time with God. Since developing the habit of reading the Bible daily and journaling my thoughts, I’ve created a mechanism that’s brought my mind peace and given me direction for my business. Almost every time I’ve had a bad day, I can say that morning I didn’t do my devotional. It’s not surprising, of course, that when I snap at someone or something is off with my feelings, it’s also likely that I’m a little disconnected from the Spirit. As Godpreneurs, we’re called to bear the loving fruit of God. Loving our clients, employees, and vendors and loving God is the greatest commandment. When we’re full of this love, we reveal God’s nature through our management style, our products, and our services, which in turn, glorifies Him in the world. However, the origin of this love comes from our connection to God. If we’re starved of this love, then anything we do in business is going to be affected by this lack of connection to God. If we’re feeling spiritually depleted, then it will be tough for us to be in our calling. The bible says: So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. (Galatians 5:16‭-‬18 NIV) Maybe the reason you do not see the calling so clearly is that you’re not connecting with God as you should be. Maybe the reason you’ve strayed away from your calling is that you’re not spending time with God like you used to. The solution is simple. You need to spend more time with Jesus. You have to develop the habit of spending time with God every MORNING (Not at night, once the day is already gone, and you’ve previously interacted with everyone.) Finding your calling AND staying in it will all depend on the quality of your daily connecting and dependency on the Holy Spirit. When I first started my Daily Godpreneur movement, it came about because I started developing this morning habit of daily bible reading. At first, I had to force myself to do it. But when I started seeing the bible as a business self-help book, I began to look forward to my morning time. Since I knew other entrepreneurs struggled with spending time with God in the mornings, I started my daily devotional for Christian entrepreneurs. Subscribe at www.dailygodpreneur.com/subscribe. It will help you develop the habit like it has for thousands of others. Is your love for your clients or employees going away, gone, or never even found? Do you find your self-ish-ness for fortune or fame standing out more than your self-less-ness? Are you noticing your criticism choking out your compassion? Are you just filling time with your agenda? All of this will leave you feeling empty and dried up. This will kill your calling. These are signs that you’re spiritually depleted. You’re just disconnected from depending on Jesus. We Godpreneurs are first called to Christ. Before our entrepreneurial calling, our first calling is to walk with Christ. That’s why if we’re feeling spiritually depleted, things are going to go wrong and our ability to focus and stay in our calling will be threatened. All of us Godpreneurs have been there and done that—too many times. But it’s time we all wise up and fill up on the spiritual juice we need to pursue our calling. It’s time we all live worthy of the calling in business we have received. We are called to be a reflection of Jesus every day in our businesses. We need to use every moment to draw a closer connection to God by simply talking to Him daily. And when we’re the daily Godpreneur God wants us to be, the opportunities we desire will be shown to us as we’ll begin to feel and reflect the calling we need to move forward with. Let me pray for you! Lord God, I pray that Godpreneurs truly want You. I pray that they want to know You more, and develop the daily devotion to You that You desire. I pray their businesses to glorify Your name in everything they do and draw many in their industries to Your Son, Jesus Christ. #BusinessBibleStudy #FindMyPurpose The 7 Calling Killers Overcome the Enemy's Plan to Steal, Kill, and Destroy the Entrepreneurial Calling Over Your Life. • Rise Up and Take What is Yours: God’s Business Growth Plan

At the end of 2014, I decided that I was going to go in a radically different direction with my business. I knew God wanted so much more for my business. I knew the company had a bigger purpose…and I was on a mission to discover it. I was led to read the book of Nehemiah in the Bible. It led me down the path of Restarting my business from the ground up. I spent all of 2015 rebuilding my company, Creative Complex. Towards the end of 2015, my church started a series on the book of Joshua from the Bible. At service, God spoke to me through the pastor that it was time for me to take what’s been built and go to market with it. It was time to conquer my niche, make a name for my company, expand my market, and step into the promises I KNOW God has for me and my business.  We entrepreneurs can spend a lot of time building our businesses. God has sustained us, but we know we’re meant for so much more. But we are cautious. We’ve been burnt in the past.  We’ve been down this road.  We’ve tried and failed in the past.  The road ahead is difficult, we know it. Maybe you’re a 9-5 employee and you’ve spent a lot of time writing your business plan, coming up with your invention, building your app, but you’re not sure when to pull the trigger to start the business. Maybe you started your business and have been cautiously growing, but you know you haven’t given it your all-out potential. Maybe you’re like me. You’re on version 4.0 of your business. You’ve learned a lot through this 10-year roller coaster ride. You’ve restructured the business, put God first, and now it’s time to grow. This can be a scary point for any entrepreneur. The risk is high. But I’ve discovered the blueprint to grow my business and conquer my market, God’s way. It’s the roadmap to success for any business looking to enter into financial freedom…the land of milk and honey for all entrepreneurs. The book of Joshua 1:1-5 starts out: "After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord , the Lord said to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, “Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you, just as I promised to Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun shall be your territory." The first thing we see is that God will call you when it’s your time. I remember there being times when I was Restarting my business that I wanted to get out and start growing the business, but I didn’t feel it was the right time. I was waiting on God to let me know when. The second thing we see is that God keeps his promises. You may have started and failed a couple of times, but you know that you are supposed to make this work.  You know God has plans for you to prosper.  He’ll keep those plans. Third, we see that God is very specific in his visions for you, and they are BIG. I have a whole document written out of all the places I want my business to go. My visions are huge, but so is this land of Cannan that God is commanding Joshua to enter.  This is a land that covers 210 miles long and 120 miles wide. God has set everything up for a day like today. You’re ready. You’ve spent enough time building up the dream in your mind. If we trust that God has commanded us for a day like today. He’s asking you to rise up and take what is yours. #FindMyCalling #TargetMarketAndNiche

  • How Past Business and Marriage Problems Are Blocking Your Growth

When I started my first business, it was my two best friends and me. We set out to build an amazing agency. One was (still is) an extremely talented graphic designer. The other was (still is) a genius in digital marketing. When one of them left for a full-time position at another company, I was hurt. Then when the other followed him a few years later to the same company, I was crushed. I struggled for years to find my identity again. I was lost and alone. The partnership had its flaws, but I preferred it over being by myself and losing what they brought to the table. We complemented each other’s talents. It seemed like we’d be together forever. We all have a past that we still hold on to. Some of us are holding on tight. Others of us have learned to let some of it go, but we all have residue. Through life, we’ll have relationships in our business and personal life that we’re going to lose. Breakups happen. Sometimes they come to a sudden end and we’re hurt and stuck at that moment for years. If we’re stuck with thoughts with an ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend, that hurt can be causing harm today if it’s not dealt with. If it's memories of former partners, ex-employees, past clients we used to depend heavily on for money, then we have to deal with that and also let it go. If we want to experience breakthroughs in our business and marriage, we need to make sure past relationships aren’t keeping us stuck in the past and unable to move as fast as we need to today. Today, we can ask God to see us through that pain. The bible says Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me. (Psalms 27:10 NIV) The Word of God says to depend on no one, not even our own mothers and fathers. Seems pretty extreme, right? That’s the point the Psalmist is making here. It’s critically important that you stand and lean on God alone because misaligned relationships with other humans (partners, vendors, contractors, employees, prospects, former spouses, former boyfriends, and girlfriends) can threaten to keep you from your breakthrough! Even Psalms 118:8 says “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” You need to be determined that no matter what, you’ll depend on God during difficult periods of time in your business and marriage. Sometimes, difficulties can cause you to transport back in time to a happy place in a previous partnership when things were awesome. This is dangerous territory. It’s a self-defense mechanism. You avoid the pain of dealing with the issues today by going back in time. Listen, your tears are only temporary. Tomorrow brings a fresh set of opportunities. God’s going to bring your business and marriage to new levels in due time! Maybe the breakthrough isn’t coming because you’re not trusting and following God fully in your business and marriage? It’s time to let it go and live again! We’ve all lost a relationship both in our business and personal life, and that loss tore a piece of our heart and soul out. But we need to begin to ask God to bring that part of our life back. We need to let go of the pain and let God replace it with joy. We have to let go of the moment we lost someone that was important to us and leave the past in the past. God’s doing a new thing in our business and marriage! He’s taking our past and turning it into good! Imagine if we all believed God could do this. Imagine if all of us married Godpreneurs trusted and depended on Him and Him alone. I pray that Godpreneurs worldwide would receive this message and that God would do a new thing in all of our businesses and marriages. Godpreneur Rule: Godpreneurs remove any dependence on people or the past. Instead, our businesses and marriages are filled with God’s presence. #BusinessBibleStudy #MarriedEntrepreneurs 21 Days of Breakthroughs in Business and Marriage This course provides needed strength and faith, in the truth of God’s holy Word, for breakthroughs in both your business and marriage. • How to Write Your Testimony Into Your Brand Story

I once served the nightlife, but God rescued me, and now I serve the day life. I used to think I ran a typical web and graphic design shop, but God gave me an identity, and now I run a branding agency bringing entrepreneur's visions to life. I used to do branding for anyone and everyone, but God called me to work with purpose-focused entrepreneurs to help bring their message to the world. God rescued me. God gave me an identity. God called me. And now, I found meaning and purpose in the work that I do. And I tell prospects this redemption story over and over, and I end with "He wants to do the same for you and your business." See how it works? It took me a while to be able to articulate this and write it out. I started including it on my website, in my sales scripts, and even some social media posts. It’s part of my company’s key messaging strategy. We all have a good testimony to share. Every Godpreneur has a story of redemption - how God is using your business for His glory. We need to outline it, write it out, and commit it to memory. The Bible says, "And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it." (Habakkuk 2:2 ESV) Many times in scripture, God has someone to write something important down. In this case, God had a big vision that He wanted Habakkuk to write down and deliver it to the people. It’s a message that will impact them at a future time. In the same way, writing down your business testimony is a vision of the future that God gave you specifically. You need to write down the visions God gives you for your business and be willing to not only take action on them but share them with others as your testimony of faith. How to Write Your Business Testimony Every good story has three parts: A character has a problem: Business testimony: what problem did you personally have with the way things work in your industry? Product testimony: what problem does your potential client have? God comes along to inspire change: Business testimony: how did God convert your business into a God-first business? Product testimony: what solution did God inspire you to come up with? Victory is achieved (transformation): Business testimony: how is your business now bringing you more joy Product testimony: how are your products bringing real change in the marketplace, giving you meaning and purpose behind your work? Once you’ve identified your business and product testimonies, you write them out in one or two sentences. Business Testimony = character + solution + transformation Product Testimony = character + solution + transformation Your hero journey is the most powerful tool in your bag to sharing the gospel and winning more hearts and minds towards Christ. God will do the transformation in their lives, but He needs you to show and tell. An acupuncturist who puts God first can say something like, "I used to run a typical acupuncture business. One day I helped a bedridden woman walk again, and it was the best feeling in the world. That's when I knew God gave me Jesus' gift helping people walk again. That's my calling now." If you notice in the example above, it's such a simple statement. It's noticeable. It's shareable. It's unique. And it will help this acupuncturist authentically grow her business. God will bless her business and continue to bring her more in business because she's walking in obedience and sharing her testimony. If Jesus redeemed and rescued us in our business, we Christian entrepreneurs must include the story in our brand messaging! We must weave that story into any part of the business we can. What if we all knew how to tell our "God first" business story and shared Jesus with others during our time with clients? Imagine that! Here are some questions to help draw your story out. Questions What's your simple statement like the acupuncturist's "I help bedridden people walk again." How has Jesus rescued you in the marketplace? What's your "nightlife to day life" story? Why did you decide to follow Jesus, and how did it impact your business? #GainConfidence #AgencyOwners #ShareYourTestimony

  • How One Bad Service Delivery Can Ruin a Business

Recently, I bought a loaf of bread from a local shop in my neighborhood, and while eating it, I chewed sand twice. That was too ridiculous and unbearable for me. What went through my mind immediately was that the Baker or Producer must be an irresponsible fellow. Checking through the nylon packaging, I spotted the producer’s contact and sent the following message. “Dear sir/ma’am, there is no time I eat your bread without chewing sand. Today’s experience was bad. Please pay more attention to your hygiene. Perhaps, this feedback will help you do better.” That was about the third time I bought and ate that particular bread due to necessity. It was not my usual brand from the supermarket. Not quite long after my message, the producer appreciated my feedback and apologized for the lousy service delivery. While in the discussion, he passed on the blame to the local shop. This aspect got me disgusted because the bread is usually delivered to the local shop already wrapped. I had expected him to take full responsibility for the poor services rather than trade blames. I interjected by saying to him, “so you don’t like customer complaints?” He recalled himself and made a remarkable statement, “You are my customer. I cannot consume all the bread I produce.” However, the call ended on a good note. I waited for a few days afterward to see if the man would call again to follow up and find out if I had bought another bread and what my latest experience was. He never did, though I never rebought the bread. He lost me and may lose others or the business in the long run. I want to assume, therefore, that; he had done nothing to improve the quality of his product. Sometimes or occasionally, we can have something go wrong with the products or services we offer. What makes the difference is the attitude we give to it and how much care we volunteer to the customer. The quality of our responses to customer complaints or feedbacks determines customers’ loyalty and the market share we can command. The Bible says, “Do you see a man diligent and skillful in his business? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men” (Proverbs 22:29 Amp). Businesses can go as far as the entrepreneur’s diligence can permit it. Diligence is more than hard work. It speaks of efficiency in our processes. A bad customer experience is a negative publicity to any business. Products and services consumers just want their exact needs met, and how they are served goes a long way to show how much care they have received. Diligence can settle all this. The Bible also says about responding to an unhappy customer; “A gentle response defuses anger, but a sharp tongue kindles a temper-fire” (Proverbs 15:1 MSG). Dear Christians entrepreneurs, I shared this personal consumer experience to draw your attention to your business and the customer’s following truth in a quick summary. You are in business because there is a consumer somewhere willing to buy your products or services. The consumer is the reason you launched your business idea. The consumer is your source of money. When a customer gives complaints, he wants to stick with you, therefore seeking satisfaction. Do not see complaints as the customer nagging. Take full responsibility if things go wrong, with a promise to remedy the situation. One dissatisfied customer can shut down your business in these days of social media, where information spread fast. Always work on customer feedbacks intentionally. Pay a visit, if need be, and let them know the improvement you have made. Do your best to retain your customers and consumers (end users). Business is not all about you but about the customer. Your decisions must be a reflection of what the customer wants and not what you want. Think from the customer’s mindset. Structure quality control systems in your business. Never allow negative images and publicity in your business. We can have better businesses where the customer is happy to relate with us regularly. By the grace of God, we can afford to be diligent in our businesses and enjoy growth by how much we increase the quality of our customer relationships. #DifferentiatingMyself

  • Whoever Said “Chase Your Dreams” is Dumb

I’m not kidding, but the guy who quoted “Don’t Follow Your Dreams, Chase Them” is a gentleman by the name of Richard Dumb (look it up, not kidding). And there’s no coincidence here….because it’s plain dumb thinking.  In fact, you’re supposed to follow your dreams and STOP chasing them. When I hear the word chase, I get a negative connotation.  Most of the time I’m using or hearing the word chase, it's in a bad way.  Chasing means something is running away from me. We’re all chasing something, right?  We chase our dreams, we chase the girl or boy, we chase for the next accomplishment. But what does God say about chasing? Proverbs 12:11 says: Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies have no sense. Instead of chasing after God, we should be working on the current assignment he has given us. Instead of chasing after money, we should be working the current income we’ve been blessed with. Instead of chasing after the next shiny bright object in your entrepreneurial career and in your business, you should be working the current business you’ve been given. Land back in the day was inherited.  So it was understood that you work your inheritance, which was given to you free from being part of the family.  It was your birth right. And when we as Godpreneurs take up our calling to follow the entrepreneurial steps God has ordained for us, we too inherit a land (business) to work. Godpreneur rule #29:  Godpreneurs work in their gifting and God-breathed identity and don’t chase after what looks to be better. #BusinessBibleStudy #FindMyCalling

  • Discovering The Business You Were “Born To Do”

I've heard the phrase "that’s what I was born to do” my whole life in different situations. Athletes say it all the time when talking about their career choice. Musicians use it to explain their amazing talents. I’ve even heard entrepreneurs tell it to me in regards to the business they are starting. When I say I’m “born to do” something means that I’m stinking good at it! It’s borderline bragging, but humbly. It’s a confidence in my gifts and talents, letting the others around me know I can be trusted in this particular area. I believe we were all born to do a particular business, it’s just some of us have found it, others are still searching, and even more, have no idea they were born… created… for something great. So how can we all discover exactly what we were born to do? First, we need to understand the exact words…. Born… To… Do? The Bible says: "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb". (Psalms 139:13 NIV) When you say you were born to do something, you’re saying 3 things: Born – God knit you together. He created you. He ordained your life to be born. He made it so that Alex Miranda would be born on October 22, 1980. To – You have been pre-positioned. In God’s great plan, your existence was thought of and planned out. Do – You’ve been called to live out the very thing you were fashioned in the womb for. A calling is an act to stand up, go, and do it. To even say the words “I was born for this” is an acknowledgment that something out there pre-thought about your existence and is allowing you to exercise that calling today. You might have heard people saying “I was born for this,” but do they really know what they are saying? Culturally, you say it as normal street language, but if you sit down to think about it, every time someone says it, Christian, or not, they are acknowledging the existence of a creator. The Bible says: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV) The biggest problem humanity has our desire to take the credit for everything in our life, and not give credit to where credit is due. When we find ourselves lost in a sea of endless to-do lists, bombarded with opportunities, and distracted by technology, it will be easy for us to get overwhelmed and wonder – what’s this all for, and I missing out on something more? This is exactly where God wants us today! He wants us in a place of total dependence on Him and His calling over our business lives. It’s at this exact point where you acknowledge and recognizes that He has a plan, and it’s your job to uncover, discover, and recover what has been yours from birth! Today, we begin a journey to discover what God has us born to do in business. He created us Godpreneurs uniquely. To do this, our first step is to acknowledge and believe the words BORN TO DO are true in every sense of the individual words and the phrase altogether. It’s totally giving credit to the inventor, the creator, the originator of life. When we give credit to where credit is due, our mindset changes about everything! Our focus changes as we connect our entire business’s existence to the way we were personally designed by God. To find out exactly what we were born to do, we must be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Rom 12:2). Once our minds acknowledge our birthright, every decision can be tested against that calling. And once we're in that zone, we can throw off everything that hinders us from letting us run with perseverance the race marked out for us (Hebrews 12:1) Welcome to what I was born to do….welcome, to the Born to Do Method. #BusinessBibleStudy #FindMyCalling The Business God Created You To Start Have you ever wondered why you received the talents and gifts you have been given? • The Terrible Boss

I’ve admitted to you before: I was a terrible boss. I love people. Everyone will tell you I’m a very nice guy. But when it comes to being a boss, something wasn’t clicking. And I’m searching for that reason why… Today I came across a clue that might help me, and I thought it might help you too. In the story of Adam and Eve, after they ate from the tree, they were naked. In response, they hid from God and covered themselves with fig leaves. They sinned, they let God down, they were less than perfect, so they hid. The legacy of Adam and Eve’s act is that we entrepreneurs are still hiding today. I’m guilty of hiding from my employees when I messed up, things are bad, or even if someone else messed up. Golfing, food, drug abuse, and sometimes even exercise represent our “fig leaves.” And even though we’re hiding, God will still ask us “where are you?”. What are your fig leaves? Next time, stop and realize what you’re doing. Then, ask yourself, WHO do you need to confront or what sin do you need to repent from so that you can stop hiding. #SharpenLeadership

  • How Christians Develop Rewarding Connections on LinkedIn

A perfect stranger reached out to me on LinkedIn because she Googled something about Christian entrepreneurship, and I came up at the top of the results. She asked me for some advice on a virtual conference she was speaking at. I could hear her heart to want to serve at the highest level. At the end of our conversation, I congratulated her on having the desire to serve her audience with the best possible information. Our level of effectiveness on LinkedIn (and in any business relationship) is directly proportional to the amount of care and concern we have for our followers. Only when we acknowledge people and add value to them will we have the potential for a rewarding connection. The Bible says "Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God." (Hebrews 13:16) Everyone seeks to know and be known. As you navigate LinkedIn and interact with those around you, remind yourself that each person you meet has challenges they need to overcome in their business lives. As a Christian entrepreneur who's gracefully been redeemed and changed, you've been equipped to change your network's outlook and demeanor with your words of wisdom and subject matter expertise. Your advice and encouragement can be the catalyst for lasting change in a contact's business life and the inspiration that makes them flourish. • How to Pray for Your Connections on LinkedIn

One of my favorite things to do on social media is to create a post asking people if they need prayer. I get tons of engagement! It's the easiest way to develop a relationship with someone, yet it is so underutilized on LinkedIn. Prayer changes business circumstances, both for the receiver and the giver of the praying. The Bible says "Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working." (James 5:16) If you're going to put yourself out there as a prayer warrior for other business people on LinkedIn, be ready for all the circumstances you could be involved in changing. Your prayers will have the power to change: Desperate business situations Hopeless career conditions Financial problems Marketplace obstacles Employee and partner issues The mindset of people Entrepreneurial defeats into victories Our marketplace prayers as Christian entrepreneurs have the power to change anything that stands between the one asking and God’s perfect will for the receiver's life. And prayer also has the awesome power to change us, the ones who are praying. Consistently asking to pray for others on LinkedIn changes the priorities of our reason for spending time on the platform. Prayer does have the power to change things in business. In fact, prayer has the power to change the entire marketplace. To read more articles on LinkedIn, click here. #AttractingRightClients

  • The ONE Investment Christian Entrepreneurs Need To Make Today To Exercise and Experience Dominion

Knowledge is so underrated. The turning point in the life of Adam and Eve was the advent of knowledge. They were instructed not to eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. That suggests that good and evil might have already been at play in the world at that time, but Adam and Eve did not know of them (Genesis 2-3). You see, knowledge has the potential to turn anybody's life around. It has the ability to create. It can bring your downfall, as it can define your dominion. 1 Corinthians 2:8 says: ..."the princes of this world crucified the Lord of glory because they knew not the wisdom that was concealed for our glory". Did you see that? Even wisdom is known. In becoming who we were sent to be, Knowledge is essential. Hosea 4:6 tells us that the reason we perish is that we lack knowledge. John 8:32 tells us that it is known truth that sets us free. Knowledge is essential to make it in the life that we have been called to live. But until we avail ourselves to knowledge, having it and walking in it will remain a mirage. What does it mean to avail yourself of knowledge? It simply means to expose yourself to atmospheres and environments that celebrate, promote, and advocate for knowledge. It means to put yourself in the presence of someone who has knowledge and releases knowledge and be open to receiving it with meekness and gladness. You remember Mary and Martha when the Lord visited their home? Mary availed herself to knowledge, and the Master commended her for it. In fact, the Master said knowledge was the ONE THING that is needful (Luke 10:38-42). In considering knowledge, there are 3 things to be mindful of: The Source: God places a premium on the sources where we get knowledge from. It is because the source of knowledge determines whether or not it's worthy of our consumption. That's why God’s first thing addressed with Adam and Eve was the source of their knowledge when they said they were naked. He asked, "...who told you that you were naked?" (Genesis 3:11). The source of knowledge will determine the content of it. The Curation: Knowledge Curation is simply the organization of knowledge. Is the knowledge you're exposed to well organized to communicate meaning? Is it in the right progression? Is it in the right quality and quantity? Curation will determine the usefulness of knowledge per time. The Communication: The source/content of knowledge may be right. The curation may be accurate. But if its communication is wrong, it can change the whole narrative and make an impact on it. It can deter meaning and intent. That's why, as Christian Entrepreneurs, it's high time for us to start paying due attention to where and who we get our knowledge from. Who or where is the source of knowledge that we use in running our businesses? I think it's high time we started having our own kingdom summits, conferences, seminars, and workshops to submit to our King. We should not only be a talker but also a doer, I'm taking the first step in doing that. I'm putting together a 3-days life and business transforming summit for Christian Entrepreneurs who want to walk in dominion in the marketplace in 2021. The event is scheduled for December 17-19 and runs from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM EST daily. At the event, we have kingdom impact makers on the lineup to disburse knowledge. I’m talking people like Horst Schulze (Founder of The Ritz Carlton Hotel and The Capella Hotel Group), Jordan Raynor (Entrepreneur and Executive Chairman of Threshold 360), Joel Manby (Former CEO of Herschend Enterprises, Saab Automobile USA, and SeaWorld Parks), John Ruhlin (Founder and CEO of Giftology), Candace Junee (Digital Marketing Maven, Social Influencer and CEO of Epic Fab Girl and 11Eleven Fashion), Alex Miranda (Founder of Daily Godpreneur and CEO of Creative Complex), Rebekah Lyons (Author of Rhythms of Renewal), Carlos Whittaker (Author of Moment Maker and Kill The Spider) and Milton Chefoin (CEO of GEM Systems). • How to Let God Grow Your Business and Money

Financial management is a SLOOOOOW game. Maybe that’s why I get frustrated with it at times. I’m supposed to add a little into my savings account and watch the interest grow…over years!. Savings for a goal, budgeting, or investing in the stock market are slow as well. I say slowly because I’ve been conditioned to get everything NOW that I see financial management as slow. But that’s just how God designed it. Financial management is about planting a seed, letting go, and letting God grow it and produce fruit over time. But when we get frustrated and try to inject hormones to grow bigger and faster, or we pick the fruit prematurely and spray it with gasses to ripen faster, we don’t get what God intended for us, we get our creation – which will always fall short of God’s best for us. The Bible says: "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." (Galatians 6:9 NIV) In business, you’ll always experience a delay once you invest. When you put out a proposal, there’s a delay between your proposal and its acceptance. The same is true in our financial management – once you begin the journey of budgeting, paying off debt, and accumulating wealth, there’s a delay between when you began stewarding money correctly and reaping the benefits of your obedience. Solomon, the richest man that ever lived, said this in the Bible: “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:” (Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV) I know it’s irritating for us Godpreneurs to make a deposit into something and not have it instantly return a reward. We pour time into employees, systems, and processes, only to see the investments bear fruit in a different quarter. But when we make the investments, and let God do His thing in His timing, we let go of the stress, and we embrace the peace of God that will build our faith and make the time we spend in waiting a joyful time. When it comes to managing money, we’ll always see the fruit of our efforts in a different season. We need to stop trying to pick stocks that we pray will skyrocket overnight so we can be instant millionaires. We need to be willing to make investments that, in the long run, are guaranteed to perform well and return ripened fruit, good to eat. When we Godpreneurs start following God’s plan for us managing our money in our businesses correctly, we aren’t going to see all of our debt paid off overnight and see tons of cash all of a sudden pour into our bank accounts. Things will come in God’s Timing. We’ll get a small client or a short order, and then we’ll get a bigger one, and it will grow. I know because I’ve experienced this phenomenon myself. We simply need to learn how to wait for our due season. And while we’re waiting, keep on working and grinding and giving value to our customers and doing excellent, above-and-beyond work. We may not see anything happening right away, but there is a God orchestrating things in our favor. We don’t see the pilot of the airplane, but we know someone is up there in the cockpit, and we know the pilot has a whole bunch of help guiding him, which gives me comfort in knowing I’ll get to my destination safely. I may not see the airport in front of me, but that plane will land, and I will reach my destination, as God as my pilot. One day our efforts will pay off. The little seeds of proper financial management will pay off, and we will see what God had planned all along. • God’s Surprising Role In Your Business's Money

I’ll admit that I worry about money WAY too much. It’s OK to think about money and plan out your finances. It’s OK that money is top of mind when managing your business. What’s not ok is…worrying. As entrepreneurs, money is the worst thing we can worry about because it’s so uncertain. No matter how good your product or service is, no matter how awesome your lead generation campaign is performing, something always changes. Facebook changes its strategy, and Google updates its algorithm, and now that cash you were relying on dries up. Or the membership program you once had well-oiled starts to dismantle, and you find yourself in debt because you can’t sustain the costs you incurred. Business changes always, and money can’t be relied upon, therefore worrying about it is senseless. How can we change our worry? Where do we channel and equal, but opposite energy? How can we keep money top of mind without letting worry creep in? Worry is not natural. And it’s not biblical. Jesus says: “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” (Matthew 6:26 NIV) There 3 Strategies to focus on when trying to rid yourself of the worry of Money in Your Business. 1. Focus on Your Born to Do Calling In all of creation, humans are the only ones that worry. Every other creature just trusts the creator has it all taken care of so they can focus on what they are born to do. 2. Focus on Life’s Importance Matthew 6:25 Jesus urges you to remember that life is more than about food and clothing. It’s about your family and your impact on this world. It’s about meeting the needs of others, and trusting God will meet your needs simultaneously. 3.Focus on God – Your Father God has promised us a share of His inheritance. Philippians 4:19 says “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” We don’t need to worry because we’re already on God’s will, we’re in his “trust fund.” You have to imagine like a very wealthy grandfather who succeeded in building an empire, and He’s already got your college paid for and money set aside for you to grow. Imagine knowing that it’s all going to be good for you in life financially, and all you have to focus on is managing that money correctly and doubling its return! You get into trouble in business when you doubt that God’s got your back. When we Godpreneurs worry, we are trying to play the role of God. And because we call our own shots and generate our money, we are the ones the enemy will use most to make us worry – so we can do what he did and try to play God – which got Him thrown out of Heaven and down here in the first place. Through Christ, God has already taken care of our business's financial needs. There’s no need to worry. Godpreneur Financial Management Rule #5 – God knows what’s going on in my business and in my finances, and He’s already met my needs. He wants to help me out, and therefore I don’t need to worry. #BusinessBibleStudy #GainConfidence The 19 Rules of Money Management for Christian Entrepreneurs This course will help you develop a better sense of money management God’s way. • The Money-Multiplication Rule You Should Be Following

In my studying of “giving” as a Christian Entrepreneur, I learned that giving wasn’t always about giving money. Sure, some people were compelled to give money, but many were giving property, crops, wagons, clothes, food, etc. The famous Bible verses that are used at the time of the collection in our church don’t mention what kind of gifts we should give. For example, "Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." (2 Corinthians 9:6‭-‬7 NIV) Nowhere in 2 Corinthians 8 or 9 does Paul mention anything about money. It’s all about giving a gift with the right ATTITUDE and MINDSET. See, giving isn’t about giving money. Giving is about developing the attitude of understanding that God’s given us something, and we should want to give that to the world. For some, giving will come in the form of Money. And not because they feel guilty about giving, but because God has moved their spirit to want to contribute towards something amazing. For others of us entrepreneurs, giving will be about giving our services or products because they will benefit a need. We can also give free resources, ebooks, blog post teachings, and video courses so we can share with the world what God has given us as specialized knowledge in our field. And when we give, we get back. It’s the law of reproduction. When a farmer plants a banana tree, it produces bananas. That’s the law. And when I plant that one banana sprout, it produces dozens of other bananas. That’s the law of multiplication. We know reproduction and multiplication are gifts from God because when Jesus gave himself to us, he reproduced himself in the disciples, and it multiplied to millions everywhere. We’ve been talking about the 21 Laws of Money Management for Christian Entrepreneurs, and most of the laws are all about mindset and attitude. The mindset of the cheerful giver has an incredible impact on our financial management as we seek to be stewards of God’s gifts over our lives. The bible says "One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty." (Proverbs 11:24 NIV) The most financially successful entrepreneurs out there have been people who have figured out that they need to give something to receive more of it. They give of their time, knowledge, products, services, and yes, sometimes money, because they are doing it out of love and charity, not out of obligation or guilt. I believe that if we Godpreneurs going to be great financial managers, we need to make sure we have our attitudes and mindset about giving in line with how God wants us to think. He wants us to give as much value as we can to the marketplace. The more you can give, the more will come back, and multiplied! Godpreneur Money Rule #11: Godpreneurs are cheerful givers – we sow generously and reap generously. #BusinessBibleStudy #SharpenLeadership #ShareYourTestimony The 19 Rules of Money Management for Christian Entrepreneurs This course will help you develop a better sense of money management God’s way.
