- How to become a Godpreneur And let God be your CEO- Ebook
Download it here:Ā http://www.dailygodpreneur.com/landing/godpreneur/ Do you know what a Godpreneur is? A Godpreneur is an entrepreneurĀ who wantsĀ to put God first in the business! Being a Godpreneur isnāt a religious thing. Letās get that out of the way right now. Many of us entrepreneurs struggle to incorporate God into our business. Either we donāt see how God would care about the industry weāre in or product/service we offer, or weāre ashamed or embarrassed to be āthat religious guy.ā This isnāt a religion thing. Ā This is about finding deeper meaning, purpose, and passion for your business. When I first started letting God into my life again, it started out through the area of relationships. I was a South Beach nightclub promoter, so I was constantly in and out of relationships with women. Life was empty, and I felt lonely. I was looking to settle down. A girlfriend of mine at the time started talking to me about God. To please her, I attended church on Sundays. At first, infrequently and often after a night out at the clubs. Then, I began to see this āGod thingā as something much bigger, and I started to crave going and wanting to know more about God. My identity was beginning to change. Meanwhile, my business identity remained wrapped in the nightlife world. We were the top nightclub flyer design company in the world. I was writing nightlife marketing books and speaking at the nightlife conventions. We reached almost half a million dollars in sales in one year. But something wasnāt sitting right. My identity and my business identity were at odds with each other. As CEO of this growing company, I also began to find myself in a different mindset than my partners, employees, contractors, vendors, and clients. It came to a point where I had to choose. Why choose? Why not keep both? Why not forget about the God thing and just keep riding the upward trajectory of where my company was going. I knew it couldnāt be both. It was either the red pill or the blue pill (Matrix quote). Where would my identity be? Ā Christ, or Nightlife? How do we choose God and become a Godpreneur when our whole life weāve been an entrepreneur, doing business on our own. In becoming a Godpreneur (and staying one), Iāve come across 3 steps that helped me become a Godpreneur and make a choice to put God first in my business. Would you like to know about those three steps? #NewEntrepreneurs #WheretoStartFirst #LaunchingMyBusiness

- Money: How Godpreneurs Should View It?
OK, weāre going to have the money talk. I want to make millions! Heck, why not go for a cool billion while Iām opening up to you. I donāt know what Iād do with it all. What I do know is that I wouldnāt have college loans looming over me. I wouldnāt have issues paying bills month to month. My credit cards would be paid off. Iād have money for retirement and my kid's college would be paid off. What do all entrepreneurs have in common? One thing is the love of money and dependence on it. This vice affects the successful as well as the struggling business owner. Successful entrepreneurs are burdened by how to keep cash flow and profits and those barely scraping by in their ventures are haunted by how to get money from the next client. To both groups, money can be a curse that plagues them all their lives and affects the way they see things. How do we balance our spiritual lives with the need for money to keep our businesses going? A rich business owner can be poor spiritually and a poor entrepreneur can be rich in his inner being. What drives you? I know very few wealthy business owners who are truly ārichā and yet I know many poor entrepreneurs who truly are independently wealthy in their soul. Which would you rather be? Better yet, what would God want us to be? The Bible says: "First, help me never to tell a lie. Second, give me neither poverty nor riches! Give me just enough to satisfy my needs. For if I grow rich, I may deny you and say, āWho is the Lord ?ā And if I am too poor, I may steal and thus insult Godās holy name". Proverbs 30:8ā-ā¬9 NLT We live in a business world of contrasts. I have noticed that money can cause a sort of blindness that is difficult to overcome for any entrepreneur. It makes us self-reliant and creates an illusion of being self-sustaining. It makes me focus on myself rather than why I got in business: to help others. I start serving the master of money instead of my boss: God The more money I make, the harder it becomes to donate my 10% to the church A wise Godpreneur knows that adequate funding does not make us successful any more than having eyes enables us to see. Blindness has many forms. How is your sight? Godpreneur Rule: Donāt let your love of money blind you to what is truly important or valuable in your business. Money is only a tool to help more peopleāit doesnāt make you rich. #NewEntrepreneurs #MakeMoreMoney
- Having Realistic Expectations for Success
In 2018, my blog Daily Godpreneur was listed in the Top 30 Christian Business Blogs. I was 2nd on the list. I also placed 2nd in 2019. But it wasnāt always like this. When I started in 2014, I had ZERO readers. It surprised me that not even my mother could read and relate to my blog. It frustrated me that not even my close Christian friends that owned businesses would read my posts. It wasnāt until I started sharing my blogs on Facebook that I began seeing readers trickle in and sign up for my email list. This was in my 2nd year of blogging. I blogged to myself for an entire year! We bloggers can sometimes expect that when we start our journey, people will begin to flood in to read. Ok, maybe not immediately, but we at least expect to have traction within one year, right? This expectation can leave us frustrated, hurt, dejected, and wondering if blogging is even worth it. We seek to be understood, and we thirst for people to read, we yearn for people to share our posts, and pursue people to comment and interact because we believe that these things are the prize. We all want to be on the list of top Christian Business bloggers; however thatās not what God wants for us out of our writing experience. The bible says: For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. (Romans 8:24ā-ā¬25 NIV) A Christian business bloggerās faith is about expectation: the expectation of the fulfillment of Godās promises to you when you began writing. God promised you something. You felt something from the spirit move you to begin this journey. Godās given you a vision. And now, your Christian walk is taken to the next level when you realize that this is all a lesson in balancing the yearning of your blogās success with the joy of the big moment when you feel people are listening and your thoughts are impacting others. We need to keep hope alive. We have to feed off of the hope in fulfilling Godās vision for our blogs, not the hope that a certain number of people will read, share, like, comment, and join our mailing list. When we keep hope alive, it keeps our expectations in check, not letting the enemy steal one bit of our joy so that our writing is kept pure and in total devotion to God and His call for us. #ChristianBloggers #BusinessBibleStudy #GodpreneurAcademy Keys to Successful Christian Blogging In this course, I'll give you some keys God taught me about how to write a successful Christian blog. - Your Purpose in Business Will be Forever
When I first started my business in 2005, it was to make money and be free to call my own shots. I didnāt do it to help people, I did it to help myself. But when I started to go back to church in 2008, my view of business began to change. Since I was learning all about love and compassion, the people around me came more into focus. I began to see all of the real hurt around me and all the work that needed to be done to get everyone to experience what I was now realizing as truth. And the same compassion started spreading into my business. I began to see my business as an opportunity to HELP others, not just as a means of them help me financially. Once my heart began to change in business, I started to see that my company wasnāt in the business of doing logos and websites. No. It was much bigger than that. God was showing me that a branding agency helps entrepreneurs find their identity here on Earth, and that I could be used by God to help others find their calling. This turning point in my mindset is when my business stopped being about the here and now, and started existing for eternity. When we Godpreneurs get to heaven, our opportunity to serve God through our businesses will be over. Once weāre in eternity, we donāt come back to the office to draw up proposals. Godpreneurs, this is it. This is our time. This is our season. What we do with our businesses TODAY ā matters, not just TODAY but FOREVER. The problem is most entrepreneurs donāt realize that. Most business owners donāt use an eternal mindset when uncovering and bringing to life our business dreams. But unless we pursue the business God Himself created us to start, we wonāt be able to tap into the abundance of power, wisdom, strength, and resources He also has for us in order to carry out our business dream(s). So what do we do if our ābusiness dreamā has nothing to do with bringing God glory and other people good and we feel itās not the business God created us to start. One clue God uses to show us our purpose in business is that His vision for our business life will always involve eternity. The Bible says, "He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end." (Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV) God set eternity in the heart of humans to link what is done here on Earth to what will come later. Eternity is what God uses to link what is done now to what will come forever. This is the reason why you can tap into the power of eternal thought to your business purpose today. Ā You can link your entrepreneurial calling and business dreams with your rewards later to uncover a major clue about the products and services God created you to provide. Eternity is one critical way of distinguishing between Godās vision for your business and where your selfish ambitions or worldly desires want to take you. What our business does today will matter forever! In light of this, we can now pray and ask God to reveal Who does God want us to serve (target market)? Who does he NOT want us to do business with? Why? (prospects to avoid, they might be for someone elseās eternal calling) What will our reward be in heaven? When we have eternity in our hearts, we stop focusing on money being a means to an end but instead the money is God rewarding us. This completely changes our motivation for going out and getting clients and helping them. Remember, our business dreams will always intersect with things that will bring about good or blessing for eternity to our employees, vendors, contractors, business partners, prospects, clients, and even competitors! Itās not necessary to work in full-time ministry or for a church in order to initiate good works for God. Our Father will use our businesses to do the same work! Letās pray for our calling, and the products and services God created us to start. Dear Lord, we want our business to do something for you today. We want to do something for You every day! Please nudge us when You want us to do something through our products and services that will bring You glory and others good. In Jesusās name, amen. #FindingMyPurpose #BecomeDisciplined #EnhanceFocus

- When Business is in Trouble, Remember This
Iāve been through my shares of ups and downs in my business. And when the downs come, it seems like everything around me is crashing down. Bills get backed up, confidence is lost, a feeling of failure sets in, and the will to give up starts to creep into your mind. When we go through these times, it seems like weāre all alone. But weāre not alone. In Deuteronomy 8:6-9, Moses writes: āObserve the commands of the Lord your God, walking in obedience to him and revering him. For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good landāa land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills; a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills.ā You might not see it because your mind is clouded with the problems of the business and where the next checks will come in to pay the bills. You might not have the faith built up yet to immediately turn to prayer when troubled times come. But we have a God who has made a promise to us entrepreneursā¦.for the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land. #StrengthenIntegrity #GainConfidence
- Starting Over from Scratch
In November 2014, I made a radical move in my business. I stopped serving all nightlife clients. I felt God leading me in this direction. But with that move, I had to cut everyone from my team, leaving just 3 of us. I didnāt just randomly do this. I prayed long and hard on this decision. But I felt God telling me that this was the move to make. As much as it hurt some families that relied on a paycheck from me, I was obedient to God. I had to have faith. It reminds me of a time in the bible when God instructed Gideon to reduce his army to 300 to fight an army of 135,000 Midianites (Joshua 7:7). Seems unreasonable. Why would God do this? God wanted Gideon to know that victory does not depend on strength or numbers, but obedience and commitment to Him. As proof, the Midianite army fell without Gideonās men even having to fight. Iām not telling you to fire your staff today and start over. Thatās what God was leading me towards. What Iām saying is, what is there in your business that seems too hard to conquer? āMidianitesā sometimes come in the form of employment challenges, market volatility, or competitive scares that make us feel outnumbered and overwhelmed. Whatever youāre facing, remember that the battle is Godās. Donāt let fear overcome your faith. I had to let go of the nightlife, and it was a huge battle internally. Make your choice for faith and trust that God will fight for you. To read more articles about starting over, click here. #WheretoStartFirst #FindMyCalling
- Letting Go of Whatās Logical
I have an incredible gift and talent to sort through complex issues in business by using my logic and reason. Abstract ideas are a piece of cake for me to understand. Butā¦I donāt like just memorizing things without completely understanding the underlying concepts. This is probably why it was hard for me to grasp the miraculous, supernatural, unexplainable things about God at the start of my walk. Since I couldnāt explain it, I didnāt fully embrace it. This ārationalā way of thinking is often where I find new entrepreneurs thinking about launching a business. When we set out to do something risky like start a business, logic starts to kick in, we start crunching numbers, doing the math, calculating times, and one year later, weāre still computing. For those of us that think rationally about moves weāre going to make, we have an especially hard time launching businesses and believing God can fill in the gaps we donāt fully understand. But I believe us rational thinkers have the most to gain from launching into the unknown. All we need is for God to show up on a miraculous way once, and weāll be believers for life. The bible says: Trust God from the bottom of your heart; donāt try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God ās voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; heās the one who will keep you on track. Donāt assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life! (Proverbs 3:5ā-ā¬8 MSG) God is telling the rational-minded folks here to trust Him and lean not on your understanding. God knows you. He knows that you have an instinct to want to know and understand. But this can backfire on you, especially if youāre trying to launch a new business. Starting a brand is your chartered territory. Iāve launched many businesses, and Iām still a little nervous when I launch a new one. God wants to fill in what you donāt understand with the supernatural, unexplainable power only He can provide. Reading the Bible daily has helped me see and understand Godās word for me and my business in all new ways. Iām always amazed at its beauty and also the power it has to explain things happening in my business. In the Bible, youāll see many supernatural, unexplainable things happening and youāll wonder if this is ever going to happen in your life. Listen, Godpreneur ā if God did it once, Heāll do it again. Lean not on your understanding when launching your business because it will block you from allowing God into the process ā allowing God to build faith, a necessity for someone taking the risk of starting a new venture. If we Godpreneurs can rationalize that faith is necessary for launching a brand, then it makes it easier for the next thing we launch because weāll allow God into the process a lot sooner and wonder why we didnāt have this level of faith all along. Godpreneur, launching our businesses doesn't have to be that hard! Being rational and always analyzing things is a gift from God, but we canāt allow the enemy to use it against us and prevent us from launching the thing we were born to do. Godās grace wants to intervene in the process of launching our business; letās allow God to do what only He can do. We canāt decide to launch this idea only by what we can see or understand. Yes, we are invited to seek, understand, analyze, and make plans, but if there isnāt room for a leap of faith, weāre not allowing for the supernatural to happen in our businesses. If God is at the center of our business life, then we need to EXPECT the supernatural. Make it part of the business plan! The bible says: Itās impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him. (Hebrews 11:5ā-ā¬6 MSG) We Godpreneurs have to understand that God does not just want us to launch a business, but that He wants to do miraculous, unexplainable things through the launch experience, and the experience of our future clients. Godpreneur Rule ā Godpreneurs expect to see what we canāt explain when launching our new businesses. #BusinessBibleStudy #LaunchingMyBusiness #GodpreneurAcademy #NewEntrepreneurs Overcoming Obstacles to Launching Your Idea Join Us on a 12-Days Business Bible Plan to learn Overcoming Obstacles to Launching Your Idea.
