In the early days when I first started the business, I thought I would have a perfect partnership automatically.  That’s what happens in a partnership.  Experience tells us business partnerships are harder than we think. I can only share my experiences both in marriage and in business partnerships (which are identical by the way). We can allow God to shape our great expectations for business in partnership so we can experience co-working in which God intended for us to interact and prosper.

This expectation isn’t real, and it led to many disappointments and struggles in my business partnership. These partnership speed bumps were definitely not marked with fluorescent orange paint or signage of any sort. Imagine if everyone in the partnership had this holy resignation? Something I know now that I didn’t know back in my previous partnership was the need for regular meetings between the partners.  In hind sight, this is probably the biggest reason we failed as a partnership.  You might be at a point in your partnership where you just want to quit and do it alone.  You figure that you’ve already been doing it alone, why not make it easier for everyone and just dismantle the partnership agreement.
