Entrepreneurs Looking for Clarity

Updated: Feb 8, 2021

The restlessness I feel when I don’t have clarity is not a bad thing. I believe this is the longing and passion I as an entrepreneur, feel for wanting God more in my business. It pushes me to move forward, to create epic products designed before the foundations of the earth were laid.

I do not know what my future holds, but I trust fully in the promise of Scripture that as I commit all of my ways to the Lord, he sets my path straight (Proverbs 3:6).

For me, that has typically looked like only knowing the exact next step on the path and learning to trust him with the darkness ahead.

I don’t need clarity of my future when I’m given the clarity of today.

As a business owner, it’s ok to have a plan for the future, but it’s imperative that I focus on TODAY and let God direct that.

The Bible says:

“Believe me: I am in my Father and my Father is in me. If you can’t believe that, believe what you see—these works. The person who trusts me will not only do what I’m doing but even greater things, because I, on my way to the Father, am giving you the same work to do that I’ve been doing. You can count on it. From now on, whatever you request along the lines of who I am and what I am doing, I’ll do it. That’s how the Father will be seen for who he is in the Son. I mean it. Whatever you request in this way, I’ll do." John 14:11‭-‬14 MSG

The word itself says that I’m going to do greater things than Jesus did. This mindset is what gives me the power to overcome my desire for clarity and my need for plans, and puts me in a position of 100% trust in God for today’s provisions.

What phone calls do I need to make today?

What projects need to move forward today?

What’s my day look like today?

Not tomorrow.  Today!

I’m born for something great…TODAY!
