Whatever my business, God’s gifts enable me to work for the common good, to find more contentment in my work, and/or to overcome or endure the negative aspects of my business situation.
When branding someone, I have to find out their desires, motivations and intentions for doing the business. This makes me armed and dangerous for coming out with an awesome brand!
Paying too much attention to the gifts you already have can keep you from receiving the gifts God wants to give you. This is one reason why people get stuck and don't launch their business: feeling unfit to be an entrepreneur.
Our calling is primarily about our identity. And that is not usually the answer people are looking for when they ask, “What is my calling?” Usually, people want to know, “What business should I do? What product or service should I offer? What skill, what capacity, what gift might be distinctly mine?”
My secret to finally making the decision to stop doing business my way and start doing the business I was born to do was discovering what I really LOVED about my business, and focusing in on that.
I always remember my identity in God. He created me in a unique way for a reason. I am different in how I operate, how I think, how I create brands, and how I process my client's information. I also have different client experiences, good or bad.
The more I understand, truly and deeply, God's will for the entire world, the more I understand His will for my clients. The brand story that I come up with for my clients is shaped by God's own story for their lives, his purpose becomes their purpose, and my heart becomes his own.
God opened my eyes, ears, heart and spirit to be filled with the knowledge of His will. I prayed for wisdom to follow me in my office and in my strategy sessions. Simply put, I walk in obedience to the things that God shows me.
The single strongest indicator of the business mindset God wants you to be in is probably your awareness of what needs to be done to make the world more like what God intends.
Your product or service is a temporary fix until you've attached a meaning much greater behind it, and can articulate it will to your clients as the solution they REALLY need to their problem.
